RRB DISABILITY

What we do for our clients

We represent RRB claimants throughout the United States.

From the earliest stages of your case, we help identify and clarify the issues to the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB).

We will help complete or review forms which are sent to you by the RRB in connection with your application and appeals. These forms are sometimes used by the RRB to discredit your statements and testimony; appropriate and thorough answers and responses are extremely useful in avoiding later problems, as well as in directing the RRB to the proper issues in your case.

We can review your case and determine what additional evidence or development is needed. This usually involves obtaining the opinion of your doctor on points crucial to establishing your disability.

We will monitor the progress of your case while it is pending before the RRB. We can help keep the case on track and moving toward a fair decision.

At all levels of the case, we can present written argument on your behalf and discuss the appropriate Regulations and Rulings that are applicable. We will do everything we can to obtain a favorable decision without having to go to a hearing.

We will prepare our client for the hearing. This step is especially important. A lawyer who has handled numerous cases in the past is well equipped to let the client know what to expect and what is important to the Hearing Officer assigned to the case.

At the hearing, the attorney may also cross examine the witnesses and help develop your testimony. We argue your case to the Hearing Officer, presenting in detail each piece of evidence that establishes disability. We preserve the important arguments and legal points for review.

If the case is denied by the Hearings Officer, we will handle the appeal.
